Sadness

My mind is all confusion,
I want what I know not,
I’m hungering for something,
I need some help, but what?

I don’t like where I’m living,
The place I dwell is bleak,
My body feels so tired,
My muscles seem so weak.

I hate to see the mirror,
My image makes me cringe,
My eyes are crowned in sadness,
I vomit, then I binge.

I dress to hide my body,
Put rouge on my blank face,
I look as just a sliver,
Of the useless human race.

My sleep is cloaked in turnings,
Wrinkles etch my skin,
I may be near to dying,
Not lovely, but so thin.
All my friends are sick of me,
To strangers I live not at all,
My soul is reaching out for help,
Yet has no one to call.
